A good good good day....
Chelsey and I just spent the weekend in Pueblo teaching acroyoga all day on Saturday. It was a great group and Marcee's yoga community there rivals any other that i have ever seen. Such great people. The workshops were wonderful, followed by a great dinner.
The next day, however, proved even more entertaining. We attended a yoga class in the morning, taught by Janet. There was rocking music, anusara wisdom, and a great cooperative feel. Janet turned it over for a bit to Anne (our homestay host and arm-balance beauty) and she led the class in some Galavasana goodness. The floor was then turned over to Chelsey and I for 15 minutes of AcroYoga play.
After class we headed to the park with Anne, her husband Pat, and their two wonderful kids. We set up 4 lines (100ft, 65 ft, 40ft, and a 35 ft rodeo line). We all played for the next four hours. Pat had called all his friends so people were coming and going. It was a mixture of impromptu lessons and lots of play. The whole family is getting quite good...they may well be the pre-imminent slackline family in the USA. (Jim and Teresa - get going!!!!)
We ended with an hour of advanced Acro play where Chelsey and I worked on some stuff that we have been wanting to get for a long time, and some new stuff that we just invented.
When we thought the day was drawing to a close - Pat asked us to go surfing...."What?!!?" So we drove out to the lake, and spent the next 2 hours learning how to "redneck surf" as he called it. Once you get used to it you can carve some really nice turns.
We returned home to a catered meal of Ricotta stuffed pasta, bruschetta, eggplant, and fresh fruit.
We can't wait to get back to Pueblo!!!
