It's only the beginning! (Originally written on February 19th)

February the 18th, a Wednesday night marked the beginning of our nonstop adventure that will go on until after September...well, so far. We left Flagstaff at 12:30 am full off of fresh apple mint, apple pear, carrot celery and lots more other juice concoctions. All of which came from the dumpster. We brought home about 10 bunches of asparagus, 3 bunches of kale, 5 bunches of broccoli and over 4 pounds of fruit. So, for our 11 hour drive to Ojai, California we would have lots and lots of asparagus, broccoli and kale! I think it was the healthiest road trip I have ever been on. We drove through the night, rotating between Jason, Sam and I until we finally rolled into Ojai, California around 10 in the morning. We then proceeded to find a climbing area right outside of Ojai with a really sweet looking river at the base of the climbs, slacklining came to our minds immediately... of course- right? Jason and Sam tested out their super secret inov-8 prototype shoes on the line, while I tried to make it to the end of the line without falling in the river! Lets just say I looked really refreshed by the end of our river slacklining session! The climbing was pretty good considering that it had been raining there for a week straight, which meant that our choices were down to wet cobble stone or damp sandstone. My favorite of the ones we tried was a rad cobble stone 5.9 which looked exactly like someones chimney! Lots of fun little moves all the way up. That night we we went to a benefit class that Jason was teaching, it was a super fun class with lots of adventurous yogis/yoginis to play with! It was a perfect start to our "Adventure Yoga Retreat" which is beginning tomorrow night! - peace, Chelsey
